Reporting to the Director of Programming, the Program Development Manager is responsible for working closely with the DOP to support the Gyrl Wonder mission and goals by development, execution and administration of program activities related to the Gyrl Wonder pillars. This includes but is not limited to curriculum, communication, tracking and program curation. In addition, the PDM will manage a team of coordinators.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute the vision for Gyrl Wonder programming and expansion in alignment with the Director of Programming and Executive Director

Oversee and grow quality programming with all school partners

Manage and present quarterly and annual programming presentations

Maintain communication flow with Executive Director, program staff and GW team

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, communications or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in event management

Program development manager


Reporting to the Program Development Manager, the Programming & Event Coordinator will work closely with Program Development Manager to create Gyrl Wonder programming concepts and manage the Gyrl Talk program. Coordinator will collaborate with internal stakeholders to assist with program logistics and workplace communication, keeping team up to date on all things programming. Internal stakeholders include: brand marketing & partnerships, social media, operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the program manager on workshop and program ideation

Support and participate in the sourcing and procurement of event venues

Independently manage all aspects of planning and execution of the Gyrl Wonder “Gyrl Talk” program

Be the onsite event contact for assigned events, answer questions and provide expert troubleshooting

Additional duties assigned

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field

  • Ability to pitch creative program concepts in a presentation

  • 3-5 years of experience in event coordination

programming + events coordinator


Reporting to the Director of Programming, the Gyrl Wonder Leadership Academy (GWLA) Coordinator will plan both the summer and winter leadership academies. The ideal candidate will possess the research, networking, and communication skills needed to successfully curate a week long educational experience for up to 30 young women in the New York City area. The GWLA Coordinator will work closely with the brand marketing and partnership team to secure in-kind sponsorships, secure venue and manage the selection process. In order to meet the GWLA goals, the ideal candidate must also plan carefully in order to ensure strategic use of time and resources.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the planning and execution of both the summer and winter leadership academy

Present and maintain program budget

Scout and secure venue partnerships

Plan and lead GWLA workshops with co-facilitators

Manage the GWLA application process and present applicants to team

Work closely with the Brand Marketing & Partnership team to secure sponsorship for both GWLA’s

Work closely with design and social media team to ensure GWLA creative and messaging is aligned

Share best practices for a successful GWLA post

gyrl wonder leadership academy coordinator


SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Reporting to our Director of Digital Content & Social Strategy, this role is responsible for daily posting and scheduling on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.  You will also brainstorm and iterate content for Gyrl Wonder’s official social media accounts to engage our social media audience and grow our following on all platforms.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce content across social media channels (photos, illustrations, videos, IG stories, etc)

Develop an audience, voice, and unique social strategy across all platforms

Create a content calendar showing images, and copy, to be posted each day

Manage day-to-day posting and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn

Report on content performance and present social insights and best practices to the greater Gyrl Wonder team

Catalog and organize all creative assets and files to ensure our internal database is kept organized and up-to-date

Stay informed on popular and emerging social media platforms, tools, features, and current trends

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field

  • 1-2 years of experience in a social media environment

  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe llustrator, or Canva preferred

Reporting to the Director of Programming, the Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator will develop and cultivate relationships with diverse community partners, including but not limited to schools, youth groups, faith-based groups, and shelters.  Additionally, the CEVC will manage regional and local volunteer teams, and all aspects of Gyrl Wonder community service programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Management 

Manage the ideation, planning and execution of monthly community service programs

Maintain and strengthen ongoing working relationships within identified community organizations 

Work closely with community organizations spearheading collaborative campaigning 

Act as a spokesperson and point person for Gyrl Wonder in the community, building key relationships and managing market issues/opportunities as they occur 

Lead the effort locally to identify, recruit and bring local leadership/champions on board 

Serve as day of coordinator for all Gyrl Wonder community service programs

Volunteer Management 

Recruit, train and engage volunteers for all Gyrl Wonder events including the Gyrl Talk Series for high school girls and annual youth summit (Gyrl Wonder Conference) 

Assist with the recruitment of regional volunteer teams 

Maintain regional volunteer teams and keep them abreast of all Gyrl Wonder initiatives

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT + VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR


Reporting to the Director of Brand Strategy & Partnerships, the Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the internal team to assist with the development and execution of marketing strategy in the form of decks, and presentations.  The coordinator has a great understanding of the various communication channels (publicity, social, etc.) that lead to a successful marketing campaign and will own the creation of the Gyrl Wonder newsletter. 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


Assist in the development and execution of national, local, and grassroots marketing including, but not limited to: social media support, consumer sweepstakes, and local, national, and in-market events.

Write and manage creative briefs/proposals and execute as it relates to marketing needs

Assist in the development of print and promo material for all marketing campaigns and initiatives

Manage day­ to­ day plan execution and work alongside creative teams to ensure creative is well aligned to strategy

Maintain Gyrl Wonder drive obtaining all marketing creative executions

Work closely with internal teams to drive information gathering and data analysis efforts to drive campaign optimization and future enhancement of media plans

Disseminate internal marketing communication and branding materials

Update Gyrl Wonder marketing status reports

Work closely with internal teams to curate content for Gyrl Wonder newsletter


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field

  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing and brand development

  • Strength in working with fast-moving cross-functional teams towards a seamless and integrated marketing campaign

  • Strong level of marketing and branding fluency with ability to plan and adapt communications plans based on a strong understanding of marketing objectives

  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and creative mail services (Mailchimp) preferred
