WHOLISTICALLY ME

“Wholistically Me” partners with black therapists to provide mentees with access to mental health services at a discounted rate. Young women are dealing with an increased amount of untreated trauma, leaving them susceptible to engage in negative coping behaviors like self-harm, substance abuse, and depression.

For our gyrls to show up as their best selves in both school and in the workforce, we must ensure that they develop the tools to manage past traumas and any present issues threatening the health of their emotional wellbeing.

“Wholistically Me” serves to preemptively address any obstacles our mentees may face before they become hindrances. We do this in hopes to prepare them to show up as their whole selves when it's time to enter the workforce.

To normalize the use of mental health practitioners while making them easily accessible, Gyrl Wonder and Kiehl’s partnered up to create a “Wholistically Me”, a response to the increase of mental health issues and depression in young women of color.
